Loosely exploring the semiotics of colour names and their associations, through Dulux paint swatches. The first poster shows a series of photographs of Dulux colour swatches matched up to found colours. The second is an average colour generated from the photographs. The third poster displays the names given to the colours by Dulux.
Format chosen as homage to the work ‘One and Three Chairs’ by the American conceptual artist Joseph Kosuth.
